Half the year is behind us. For US operators who have been considering a trackless train, the calendar is now the most important variable.
Every Wattman train is custom-built. Colors, seating, branding, accessories. All specified by the operator, all built to order. The production timeline is 5 to 6 weeks from order confirmation. Add shipping and setup, and the practical reality is clear: a fall trackless train delivery requires a summer decision.
The Production Timeline
Wattman does not carry standing stock. Every Mini Express and Maxi Express is built to the operator's exact specification. That is what makes each unit unique, but it also means lead time is a fixed element of the planning process.
For September/October delivery: order confirmation by July or early August. For holiday season (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas): the window narrows further. Production slots are first-come, first-served.
Why Operators Delay — and What It Costs
The most common reason for delay is not indecision about the product. It is the complexity of the purchase decision itself. Which model? Which Edition? How to finance it? What does the warranty cover? What is the asset worth in four years?
The Assured Value Program was designed to simplify exactly these questions.
When the ownership framework is clear, the only remaining decision is which train fits the venue. And that is a 20-minute conversation.
What Three US Operators Prove About Moving Forward
None of them started by waiting. They evaluated, decided, and moved forward. The revenue followed. The growth followed. And the product backed them up. Read their full stories on the Operator Stories page.
The Calendar Does Not Wait
Q3 planning starts now. Fall delivery depends on a summer decision. And the Assured Value Program means the ownership framework is already in place.
If fall delivery matters to your planning, this is worth a conversation before the production calendar fills up.
