Structured Ownership for Operators Who Plan Ahead

Most operators do not know what their train will be worth when it is time to upgrade. Resale value is unpredictable. Warranty coverage runs out before the train does. Every unplanned repair shifts money away from operations. The Wattman Assured Value Program changes both numbers before you take delivery. You enroll once, at the time of purchase, and the program activates on the day your train arrives.

48-Month Factory Warranty Coverage

Standard manufacturer warranties cover the locomotive drivetrain for 12 months. Wagons and passenger compartments typically drop to six. After that, every repair on your trackless train comes out of pocket. That is not a risk. It is a pattern. This program extends full factory coverage across every component for 48 months from delivery. Locomotive. Wagons. Steering. Braking. Electrical. Structural. One program, one enrollment, everything covered.

Your Trade-In Value Is Locked in at Purchase

Every enrollment locks in a guaranteed trade-in credit calculated as a percentage of the original purchase price. The credit applies toward any new Wattman train ordered through Wattman USA. The number does not change after you authorize your order. No market dependency. No appraisal required. No negotiation at month 48. The trade-in value you see at purchase is the trade-in value you receive.
Trade-In at Month 48

35%

of original purchase price, guaranteed as trade-in credit toward a new Wattman train when exercised within 48 months of delivery.
Trade-In at Month 60

25%

of original purchase price, guaranteed as trade-in credit toward a new Wattman train when exercised between month 49 and month 60 of delivery.
Trade-in values are calculated as a percentage of the original net purchase price excluding taxes, shipping, and accessories. Trade-in credit applies exclusively toward a new Wattman train purchased through Wattman USA Inc. Subject to qualifying conditions.

Qualifying Conditions for Trade-In

Maintenance Compliance

The train must be maintained according to the Wattman-recommended service schedule. Routine maintenance records must be available upon request at the time of trade-in.

Operational Standards

The train must be operated within the manufacturer’s specified operational parameters. This includes load capacity, terrain grade, and environmental conditions as outlined in the owner’s manual.

Financial Standing

All financial obligations to Wattman USA must be current at the time the trade-in is exercised. This includes any outstanding balance on the original purchase, financing, or service agreements.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Ownership Program

What does the Assured Value Program cost?

The trackless train ownership program is priced based on your Wattman Edition: $1,250 for the Essential Edition, $1,500 for the Classic Edition, and $1,750 for the Signature Edition. The guaranteed trade-in value and financing access are both included at no additional charge. The program fee covers the full 48-month extended warranty across all components.

Can the program fee be waived?

Wattman USA may offer promotional periods where the program fee is waived entirely. During these periods, you receive the full program at no charge.

What happens if I do not trade in my train at month 48?

The 25% trade-in guarantee remains available from month 49 through month 60. After month 60, the guarantee expires. Your train is yours to keep, sell privately, or continue operating. The ownership program does not impose any operational restrictions after the warranty period ends.

Does the warranty cover batteries?

Batteries are covered under the battery manufacturer’s own warranty, not the Wattman Limited Warranty. This applies to both the standard 12-month period and the extended 48-month Assured Value period. Wattman USA can provide battery warranty documentation specific to the battery model installed in your unit at the time of delivery.

Can I transfer the program to a new owner?

No. The Assured Value Program is registered to the original purchasing operator and the specific unit serial number. It is not transferable to a new owner or a different unit. This policy ensures the program terms reflect the full operational history of the enrolled train.

Is the program available outside the continental United States?

No. This trackless train ownership program is available exclusively for new Wattman Mini Express and Maxi Express units delivered to the continental United States (48 states plus D.C.).
