Four questions

Trackless Train Finder

Every route has limits: how many guests ride at once, how steep it gets, and whether it crosses a public road. Set yours below. Trains that fit stay highlighted, the rest show what rules them out.

Questions

Choosing a Train: Common Questions

Can a Wattman train handle hills?

Wattman Mini Express and Maxi Express trains are rated for grades up to 7%. For steeper routes, the Gopo TDK50 / TDJ50 handles up to 12% with its optional hydraulic coach brakes, most Deltrain models up to 15%, and the Deltrain Tagus EV up to 20%.

Which train carries the most adults?

A Wattman Maxi Express with four wagons carries about 24 adults and children. The Gopo TJ25 carries up to 24 adults, the Gopo TDK50 / TDJ50 up to 60 adults, and Deltrain trains up to 84 seated passengers, depending on the number and type of coaches.

Can any of these trains run on public roads in the US?

Wattman trains and the Gopo TJ25 are built for private grounds. The Gopo TDK50 / TDJ50 can run on public road sections where the local authority approves it, which a city can do for its own streets. Deltrain trains are EU type-approved; use on US public roads is subject to local approval.

Why does Wattman USA show gas and diesel trains?

Because the right train depends on your route. Wattman builds electric trains for private grounds up to a 7% grade. When a route needs more grade, more seats, or road use, our sister company The Train Company offers Gopo and Deltrain trains, so you get a fit instead of a compromise.
