The word "mini" can create the wrong impression. In the trackless train market, compact format is often associated with lower specifications, lighter engineering, and a product suitable for light-duty use but not serious commercial operation.
The Wattman Mini Express is not that product. It is a fully certified, ASTM-compliant, commercially engineered trackless train in a compact format. The same safety standards, the same build quality, and the same Assured Value Program as the Maxi Express. In a package designed for venues where space is limited and quality is not.
Built to the Same Standard
The Mini Express is independently certified to EN 13814:2019, harmonized with ASTM F2291 and F1193 for US commercial operation. The same standard as the Maxi Express. The same independent third-party verification.
- Drivetrain, steering, braking, and electrical systems engineered for daily commercial use, 5 to 7 days per week
- Anti-Collision system standard on every unit
- ADA-accessible configurations available as an integrated production option
- Zero emissions, quiet operation for indoor and outdoor environments
- Compact turning radius for corridors, indoor spaces, and tight venue layouts
This is not a scaled-down version of a larger product. It is a purpose-built unit for venues that need a compact format without engineering compromises.
Who Operates the Mini Express
The Mini Express serves a wide range of US venues: shopping centers, family entertainment centers, churches, event venues, resorts, and mobile entertainment businesses.
"Wattman offered a more professional setup and better long-term value that you won't be able to find in any other trackless train manufacturer."

Two operators, two markets, one shared truth: the Mini Express is where serious trackless train businesses begin. Read their full stories on the Operator Stories page.
Editions and Customization
The Mini Express is available in multiple Edition levels. Each level determines the standard feature set.
Every unit is custom-built to the operator's specifications. Colors, branding, seating configuration, and accessory packages are all defined during the order process. The production timeline is 5 to 6 weeks from order confirmation.
Customization is the standard process: For operators who want a train that matches their venue's branding and aesthetic, customization is not an add-on. It is how every Wattman train is built.
The AV Program on Every New Mini Express
Every new Mini Express ordered in the continental United States includes access to the Assured Value Program. 48 months of full-train warranty. Guaranteed trade-in value. Financing access.
The Extended Warranty fee ranges from $1,250 to $1,500 depending on the Edition. Wattman USA may offer promotional periods where this fee is waived entirely, delivering the full AV Program as added value.
For a Mini Express that generates daily revenue from its first week of operation, the warranty investment is a fraction of what the train earns. And the guaranteed trade-in value at month 48 means the upgrade path to a new unit — whether another Mini Express or a step up to the Maxi Express — is defined from day one.
Premium Is Not a Size Category
Premium is not a size category. It is a build standard. The Mini Express delivers that standard in a compact format, backed by the same 48-month Assured Value Program and the same US-based support team as every Wattman train.
If the Mini Express fits your venue, it is worth exploring what it could do for your operation.
